My name is Chani Gordon and always loved making beautiful things that have meaning. I am a graphic designer that uses both my graphic skills and paper quilling to create both ketubot as well beautiful wall art for both home and nursery. My goal is to imbue many Jewish homes with a touch of beauty and spirituality.
Tell us a little bit about yourself and your background.
I am a graphic designer who has always loved making beautiful things with meaning. Both quilling, and together with my graphic design art I make wall art for both home décor and nurseries.
What inspired you to become an artist?
Learning the meaning behind many of the different aspects of Judaism, and wanting to infuse the beauty with that of art.
What is your specialty?
Making art using graphic and/or quilling, personalizing and customizing. We also do ketubas.
How and where do you work?
I work in Beit Shemesh Israel.
What is the most indispensable item in your studio?
My laptop and materials. Couldn’t create anything without them.
Where do you take your inspiration? Are you pursuing any themes?
What projects are you currently working on?
We are working on a ketuba with a printed design and quilling around it. A mother’s day special for all of the items of Eishes Chayil, as well as making pieces from couples’ wedding monograms.
What is your favourite item in your current collection?
I can’t choose, they all are my favourite.
How do you know when a piece is finished?
You just know.

What was the first artwork you ever sold?
Quilled baby feet with a name design.
Which project have you enjoyed working on the most so far?
A Birkat HaBayit with pomegranate designs and quilling.
What do you want to achieve with your work and what are your wishes for the future?
My goal is to imbue many Jewish homes with a touch of personalized beauty and spirituality.
