There are so many gorgeous flowers available to choose from that we understand oh too well how hard it is to make a decision when it comes to your wedding or your vow renewal bouquet. Unfortunately, you cannot have them all!

We highly recommend choosing flowers that are in season in the place you live and can be sourced locally. It’ll make everything easier. Especially, if you are planning to have floral decorations at your reception. It’s always a good idea to match them to your bouquet.

Spring

When thinking about spring in our part of the world, tulips, daffodils, heather, lilac, lily of the valley, sweet pea, magnolia and anemones come immediately to mind.

Summer

For summer we suggest flowers such as roses, foxglove, daisies, sea lavender and peonies. Especially peonies! Depending on where in the world you are based you may want to opt for sunflowers. Have you ever considered adding them to your bouquet?

Autumn

If you are planning an autumn ceremony, we highly recommend flowers such as clematis, calla lilies, dahlia, butterfly weed, and hydrangea. Their beauty speaks for themself!

Winter

Planning a winter wedding? No need to worry! There is an abundance of stunningly beautiful winter foliage, berries and branches waiting for you to choose from in addition to a variety of different roses. Some of our favourites are holly and berried eucalyptus. Dried poppy seed heads shouldn’t be missed either!

We hope we were able to give you some ideas for your bouquet. The best would be to pop into your local florist and have a chat with them about what they suggest.

Have you already chosen an officiant to perform your vow renewal ceremony? If you are based in the Tri-state area, Rabbi Andrea Frank would be delighted to hear more about what you envision for your special day! For more information about the services she provides, we ask you to visit her website.
